Durham From Luton Airport

A couple of months ago I was invited, by my friend, to attend the wedding of his son. My friend, Richard, has known me since my childhood. We grew up together in a small village just outside Inverness. Our village was called Avoch, it is a small harbour village located on the South-East coast of the Black Isle, on the Moray Firth. Richard and I took our primary education in the village's school. The secondary education is not very good in the village, so we had to travel to Inverness in order to get a better education. After completing our A levels we went to different universities in the United Kingdom. I went to the University of Amsterdam, where I took Botany and completed my Master’s there. Richard stayed in Scotland and studied Political Science at the University of Glasgow. For the past 30 years, I have been living in the Netherlands with my family.

But I still visit my hometown after 3 or 4 years, I meet my relatives and friends whenever I am in the town. Richard’s son, Harris, was getting married at Norman Cathedral at Durham. Richard invited all of my family members to attend the wedding ceremony of his son. My children were in no mood for attending the wedding as it was getting closer to their exam period. My wife and I decided that we would attend the wedding ceremony at the cathedral. I booked a flight from Amsterdam, I also booked a cab from company, and I found it online with good user reviews and feedback. After landing at the airport, we looked for the cab service that I booked from the cab company. As we came out to the terminal we saw a man holding a nametag in his hand, It had my name on it. We went up to him and introduced ourselves.

The driver welcomed us in a cheerful manner and took our luggage from us. He placed the suitcases in the boot of the cab and went on with the journey. We took no stop in between our trip to the cathedral. I booked the cab from Luton Airport to Norman Cathedral, Durham.After driving through the heavy traffic of the cities, we finally arrived at the cathedral. The guests were entering through the canopy, fixed at the front of the cathedral. Richard and his wife were standing there welcoming the guests to the wedding. The driver gave us our luggage and took his leave. We went up to the parents of the bride and groom, they embraced us and took and Richard accompanied us to our seats. The wedding ceremony started soon after we were seated. Harris and his bride said their vows in front of friends and the family. After the ceremony, a big dinner was served; we ate and laughed and shared stories with each other, we also congratulated the newly-wed, wishing them all the happiness in the whole world.
